Affiliated Organization Chart - An attempt to show there is more to emergencies depending on the circumstances and the incident than meets the eye. The chart does not imply hierarchical relationship, only that there is a relationship. Exact reporting and hierarchy a incident-dependent.

Big Canoe POA - BCERT is affiliated with the POA primarily through the Fire Department and other emergency related efforts of the POA Department of Public Safety and Public Works.

Big Canoe HOA - BCERT is affiliated with the HOA via its Community Liaison position as well as the HOA's support of the Pandemic Preparedness Committee

Dawson County Emergency Services - BCERT is affiliated with Dawson County Emergency Services primarily through Big Canoe Security and Fire Department.

Pickens County Emergency Services - BCERT is affiliated with Pickens County Emergency Services primarily through Big Canoe Security and Fire Department.

GEMA -  Georgia Emergency Management Agency. BCERT would very likely never be directly affiliated to GEMA on a given incident. However, GEMA may be directing an effort where BCERT volunteers could be called in.

FEMA - Federal Emergency Management Agency. BCERT would very likely never be directly affiliated to FEMA on a given incident. However, FEMA may be directing an effort where BCERT volunteers could be called in.

Homeland Security - (DHS) Department of Homeland Security. BCERT would very likely never be directly affiliated to DHS on a given incident. However, DHS may be directing an effort where BCERT volunteers could be called in.

Citizen Corps -  Following the tragic events that occurred on September 11, 2001, state and local government officials have increased opportunities for citizens to become an integral part of protecting the homeland and supporting the local first responders. Fire Corps and CERT fall under Citizen Corps

Fire Corps - BCERT is a nationally registered Fire Corps organization. Fire Corps is a volunteer group that falls under the Citizens Corps. It just adds some potential avenues for groups so listed to apply for grants and get other support to groups that support their local fire departments.

CERT - Community Emergency Response Team. BCERT while not directly related to Dawson County CERT does provide an avenue for some BCERT Members to move into other areas of emergency service. CERT also falls under the umbrella of the Citizens Corps. CERT also has a direct relationship with the Dawson County EMA. Pickens County does not have a CERT program at this time.
